The viewer is called to look – the pictures in which there are collage, painting and poetry to convey a deeper meaning. This sense is contrary to Dada.

During the read operation of the viewer the words find to a form, they open up their onomatopoeia. The medium of painting does not seem to meet Salomon-Schneider. – The art is to open more than one dimension to the viewer. Supplemented by auditory elements – which are introduced by word sequences. Supplemented by audible sound and motion visual and kinesthetic perceptions were addressed – a variety of human senses. Especially noise and movement are the ones who have shaped the attention of humanity to certain things a priority for thousands of years. This Uraufmerksamkeit (original attention) – what I would call it – is reflected in the auditory and kinetic objects Salomon-Schneider´s. Primitive sounds, series of words and natural forms compressing in his installation Tones of clay (the german word for clay is Ton = the same as the musical tone), in which unfired bricks, lumps of clay and raw stones refer to the origin of things. The raw material, unformed millions of years defines his own primal existence simply by its presence – it is designed by Salomon-Schneider also with the gift of audible sound. It gradually loses its old form of existence, is shaped into bricks – and fired. A haunting (urgent) parable at a time, which tends too often more than wasteful deal with the infinite periods resulting in material.
